Australia’s Premier High School Esports League

Welcome to the 2022 High School League season for Rocket League Premier Division. Be part of the premier competition for competitive Australian high school esports providing the best platform for your school to succeed and be recognised on a national scale.

2 Registrations Per School. This registration should be completed by your School Teacher’s only.

PDF Registration Form (You can use this form to see what information you need, then once you have placed your order you will be given a link to the online registration form where you can copy the information across).

To confirm your school’s team's spot for Season 1 2022, you will need to place & complete an order to secure your School a team spot or two! Team spots fill up fast for HSL Rocket League so don't miss out!

This registration is to be only purchased or ordered by Schools. Not for the direct public.

Schools can either pay with a Debit or Credit Card straight away or request an invoice in the checkout for payments to be made during the season. Please ensure you enter your school’s information in the billing page at the checkout. This information will automatically be used to generate an invoice for your school & sent to you after post-order by the HSL administration team.

The Registration Fee covers the overall HSL program, giving your Schools access to: 

• Resources, Coaching, Materials, Discounts with our Sponsors and reserves a spot in the roster for that season or all 3 seasons.

iNSPIRETEK are excited to partner with XP Esports Australia to provide an industry-leading wellness management platform that uses highly sophisticated tech that is easy to use, simplified data analytics and educational content to drive positive change. The app provides a safe and secure environment for students to track their wellness and access exclusive evidence-based wellbeing and esports specific content delivered in a fun and engaging way. This trending wellness data is made available in the web platform for teachers and administrators to oversee, enabling you to support your students in the areas they need it most. The web platform also allows for simplified creation and distribution of content which can be utilised by teachers, wellbeing education managers, school counsellors or other allied health professionals. Empowering the HSL esports community with the education, support and resources to thrive.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

• Up to 24 teams maximum
• Schools will be divided into conferences of up to 6 teams per conference based on team ranks (Please accurately fill in player-ranks on the registration form)
• Up to 6 teams per conference group
• Open to all skills, if we receive enough lower-skilled/beginner teams we can look to create an Academy League for them
• Groups will compete in a double round robin format for up to 5 weeks
• Top 4 schools from each conference will secure themselves a spot into the conference finals
• Matches are every Monday, starting from 4:20PM AEST
• Each school will play 2 matches in a best of 5 format, each week
• 2x Matches each week will be streamed & casted live on www.twitch.tv/xpesportstv

2022 SEASON STRUCTURE 

CONFERENCES

• Up to 4x Conferences in total for PER SEASON
• Conference Matches start from 4:20PM AEST
• Conferences have a maximum of 6 teams
• The top 4 teams in each conference will proceed into the Conference Finals
• The top 2 teams from each conference final will be seeded into the National Finals

NATIONAL FINALS

• Single Elimination Knockout Bracket – Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, Grand Final
• Selected final’s matches will be streamed to the XP Esports Twitch channel

 SPECIFICS

• Each team will either play from their school or from a remote location and join up online
• Each team must have a teacher
• Each team may have a coach (can also be the teacher)
• Teams will play 2 matches in a best of 5 format. Each game is 5 minutes plus overtime in some instances until 1 team scores in Overtime
• Players can play from PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5 or Nintendo Switch
• Each player will need to use a separately licensed copy of the game. If they choose to play on a friend’s/family member’s account then they must stick with the same account all season
• Rocket League is now free-to-play through Epic Games

SEASON 1 2022 DATES

1. Pre-Season: Saturday 26th February
   • We're creating our first "Pre-Season" day for HSL22 where we will ensure all players have joined the HSL Rocket League Discord Server, they have their required team & Conference roles for the upcoming season
   • All Teams will participate in "simulated" matches against all other teams in their conference group to ensure we've created each conference group as evenly skilled as possible with the teams in each of them, and if we have any concerns with the teams in each of them, the Conference Groups may change by the first Round of matches for the season
2. Round 1: Monday, 28th February 2022
   • 4:20PM - 6:00PM AEST
   • Best of 5 Games Format
3. Round 2: Monday, 7th March 2022
   • 4:20PM - 6:00PM AEST
   • Best of 5 Games Format
4. Round 3: Monday, 14th March 2022
   • 4:20PM - 6:00PM AEST

5. Round 4: Monday, 21st March 2022
   • 4:20PM - 6:00PM AEST

6. Round 5: Monday, 28th March 2022
   • 4:20PM - 6:00PM AEST

7. Conference Finals: Monday, 2 May 2022

PRIZING

Prizing is for the top 2 teams for the whole season overall determined from the National Finals.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS:

• HSL National Cup - Travels between schools per season in 2022
• School National Season Winner Trophy Cup
• Player Trophies x3 – x5
• Equipment Prizing from EPOS or another Technology brand which is helped provided by Computer Alliance (TBC)

NATIONAL RUNNERS UP:

• School National Runner-Up Season Trophy Cup
• Player Trophies x3 – x5
• Equipment Prizing from EPOS or another Technology brand which is helped provided by Computer Alliance (TBC)

COMMUNICATION

Discord will be used as the main point of contact for each team where they can talk to the XP Esports team, other schools, access codes, post highlights and organise scrims. Teachers are required to create a Discord account so they can be added to the XP HSL Server.
